ABOUT

ABOUT ME

A curious and committed mental health professional with over five years of experience providing accessible, trauma-informed care to individuals and groups.

Ms Agarwal believes in building collaborative, non-judgmental relationships with her clients, and stays close to the research so her practice keeps evolving alongside the field. She works across an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities — including CBT, Client-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and narrative and storytelling-based approaches — with a queer-affirmative, trauma-informed lens running through all of her work.

When she's not working, you can find her in a nearby park admiring skylines, or rewatching 'The Office' for the nth time.

EDUCATION
  • Christ University, Bangalore. (MSc Counselling Psychology)

  • St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad. (BA Psychology)

EXPERIENCE

Her clinical background spans private practice, university counselling, and organisational wellness.

She has run her own private practice since 2022, working with a diverse clientele on issues of anxiety, depression, workplace stress, interpersonal and relationship concerns, and grief.

Prior to this, she worked as a Psychological Counsellor at Symbiosis International University, providing crisis intervention and clinical support to a community of over 40,000 students and staff, and began her career as a Consultant Counselling Psychologist with Pause for Perspective, Hyderabad, taking an eclectic, queer-affirmative approach with a focus on neurodivergent clients.

She currently also works as a Wellbeing Specialist at a leading MNC, designing large-scale mental health and crisis-support programmes.

She holds an M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology from Christ University, Bengaluru, and has presented her research at the International Psychology Conference, Dubai.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Therapy has been a life-changing experience for me. It has opened up windows that I didn't know existed. I have learnt to look at myself from multidimensional lenses and understand my own needs, aspirations and flaws better. With Shubhika, I have learnt to accept myself for who I am and find love in places I never thought I could.

Although I've tried talking to a therapist before, I never felt heard until I spoke to Shubhika. She's a wonderful therapist and has been able to help me with my anxiety and with difficult circumstances. She is critical and rational, yet gentle at the same time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Shubhika really listened and empathised with my story and struggle. She helped in connecting the dots in my story. She provides a safe space for the session. I feel lucky that I met the right therapist in a relatively short time period.
